Professional Pool Maintenance is extremely proud to announce that we are donating 5% of profits over the next 3 1/2 years to the Kicker Johnson Family whose’ 3 year old son is currently battling Leukemia. We started doing this in January of 2014. At the end of every month we are extremely excited to see exactly how much we can donate.
Josh and Season Johnson are maybe the nicest human beings I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. Here is a very small glimpse of who they are.
Josh works for the California Highway Patrol and Season is a Nutritionist. After Josh and Season were married they decided to adopt a child simply because there is a need for it in the world. So in 2009, they adopted Selah. Then, in 2011, Season gave birth to Caleb “Kicker” Johnson.
Everything was fine until December of 2013. Kicker was almost 3 years old, and he just stopped walking one day. They took him to the doctor and they were told he has Type B Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Having been roommates with Josh in college and having a child who is only 1 month younger than Kicker, this news hit very close to home with me. The good news in this is, the type of Leukemia Kicker has is the “best” of the Leukemia’s to get. Kicker is doing extremely well and is a poster child for how proper nutrition can heal (thanks to Season). On top of everything Season does for Kicker, he is also going through chemo. They have had to move from their home in Mammoth to Loma Linda and now back to Mammoth.
After speaking with Josh, I found out it is going to cost them over $100,000.00 out of pocket with insurance over the next 3 1/2 years. The total medical bills will be over $1 million and they have to pay 10%. If you would like to donate, you can go to https://fundly.com/team-kicker-johnson. As I mentioned earlier, Kicker is doing extremely well for the time being. They have a long road ahead and God willing everything will be fine.
